Description

Vovin is the enochian name for dragon. The greek variant, 'drakon', can mean something like 'far seeing'. The dragonkind is known to have a field and capacity of vision far beyond those of other 'baalites' (vertebrates) and invertebrates alike. This far-seeing ability can be equaled to the ability of making conscious the unconscious, seen the unseen, and gaining knowledge from darkness. In the Popol Vuh of the K'iché Maya, the four original men were created with the ability to see through plans and mountains, were actually far-seeing and it brought them too much knowledge, that the gods had sent a vapor on their eyes to prevent them and their later generations from knowing the same as the gods.

In the Cuetzpalin Mythos, Huitzopoca, the Macabraic of Winds, has instigated in the creation, intervened in the evolution, the lack of self sufficiency over the beings, making them heterotrophic instead of autotrophic. One of the main differences from gods to mortals is that sufficiency, one can only exist if there are others to sustain it, while for the gods, there are no needs. Huitzopoca demands blood sacrifices, as Tonatiuh the sun does, with a discourse that it's to keep the sun moving and heating, bringing life out of the constant death of others (blood sacrifices), but actually they do it for bloodlust, no god needs anything from others to keep existing.

The Vovin depicted in the illustration for this card is the Primordial Vovin, one of the main bodies and identities that Tupaq, the Macabraic of shadows, has attained. On its scepter's crystal ball, there's the face of its future nemesis, Hadad, later known as Baal (Lord), El Elyon and Ahura Mazda (God, for many people), the macabraic of light. Tupaq, as the first Vovin, has its third eye well developed, and with it can see and read things which no one else could do.

The primordial powers of this Vovin and its darkness-related nature makes this the most powerful card I've illustrated in the 'Cuetzpalin & Apkallu Card Game' series, as you can notice its 90+ elemental points (in the elements of the Wu Xing)
