Ocelotl and Vellag

A digital painting over a sketch from some time ago, these are redesigns of original characters I created about 11 years ago (when I was 10-11 years old), and are part of a larger story called BYDURAK (more specifically, from the GUATE Story Arc) at the time. These are, respectively, the father and grandfather of the series' protagonist, named "Guate". They were cursed to become evil minions of Topa Inca (the series' antagonist, named after the Inca Emperor) because of their Xibalban ancestry.

Ocelotl (left) is named after the jaguar warriors of the Mexica/Aztec culture. Vellag's design is a mixture of some famous Sith Lord and Mayan motifs. Because he's two generations older than the series' protagonist, he's closer to being a Xibalban than the others.

Overall, this is a mixture of medieval fantasy, science fiction and Precolumbian Mesoamerican cultures. Hope you like, feedback is welcome.
